Drunk driver collides with car, flees scenePublished: Friday, June 22, 2007A man from Brattleboro has been charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident after a a two-car crash Tuesday in Halifax, State Police in Brattleboro said.Mark L. Lavalley, 37, was arrested after the 8 p.m. accident in which his 1992 Chevy Camaro collided with a 2008 Subaru Tribeca on Old Country Road in Halifax, police said.After the crash, troopers said, Lavalley and an unidentified passenger fled on foot. Lavalley, who suffered a leg injury, was located by a member of the Halifax Fire Department. The other occupant, who may have been at the South Pond recreation area in Marlboro prior to the accident, remains at large, said troopers. The man is described as being in his early 20s and wearing a short-sleeved sports jersey.Troopers said the driver of the Subaru, 48-year-old Catherine Davis, of Halifax, suffered a neck injury and was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.Lavalley was charged with DUI #3, leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license and false information to law enforcement.Anyone with information about the crash or the unidentified male who fled the scene should contact Senior Trooper Valcourt at 254-2382.An investigation is ongoing
Mark lavalley was arrested for DUI three times. His liscens got suspendid but thats not stopping him he kept driving. Driving while intoxicated and driving while your licsense is suspendid is never good. I think this guy is making bad choices.

5. Seat not adjusted properly-if you drive with the seat to low and tilted back your vision of the road will not be as well which may cause you to hit something. To eliminate this risk drive with your back strait up.
20. Flat tire-if you were driving down the highway and your tire went flat you would lose control of the vehicle and could swerve into on coming traffic. To minimize this risk check all four tires before entering the vehicle.
29. No air bag-if you were to be in an accident with out an air bag your head or body could slam into the steering wheel. To eliminate this risk you will have to get an air bag installed.
68. Drunk-if you are drunk you dont have very good use of your motor skills and that may cause you to swerve and crash. To eliminate this risk simply dont drive intoxicated.
74. On medication-A lot of medications have bad side effects that can make you dizzy which can cause an accident. To minimize this risk ask your doctor if it will be safe to drive while you are on the medication.
96. Dropped a lit cigarette-If you drop a lit cigarette it may cause you to panic and try to get it from burning your seats you could jerk the wheel and crash. To eliminate this risk just don't smoke in your vehicle.
176. Bright sun-The sun can reflect off any mirrors and impare your vision which can cause an accident. To minimize this risk put up your rear-view mirror.
182. Snowing-If you drive in the snow you do not have much traction which may cause you to spin out and lose control. To minimize this risk wait until the roads have been plowed, salted, or sanded.
183. Early in the morning-In the morning most people are not fully awake and could fall asleep while driving. To minimize this risk make sure you are fully awake before you drive
